Lawn Mowing
Each service visit varies cutting patterns, ensuring even growth of all turf areas while avoiding rutting and compaction. We use mulching blades that are consistently sharpened to minimize tears to mature grass and for nutrient retention.
Turf Area Edging
Each service visit, where turf areas meet differing landscape features, a crisp edge is cut into the turf. This includes between turf and hardscapes (walkways, driveways, sidewalks, etc.,) as well as garden and flower beds.
Vertical Feature Trimming
Each service visit, turf is evenly cut along all vertical features including homes, trees without garden beds, both sides of fencing, mailboxes, and other landscape ornamentation.
Shrub Hedging/Pruning
Each service visit shrubs are shaped and maintained according to the type and location of the shrub. The health of each shrub is taken into account and pruning or hedging is optimized to extend the life of the shrub.
Bed Area/Hardscape Weed Control
Each service visit includes the mechanical control of bed area weeds, cracks in hardscapes, and other surface areas where weeds are present. Undesirable vegetation is cut back to the ground or hand pulled. Constant attention leads to vegetation expending more energy for growth than it gains leading to eventual permanent weed death.
Ornamental Tree Pruning
Each service visit, undesirable growth on small trees of up to 15' in height is pruned or removed. For initial visits, this may include branch removals and canopy opening. Subsequent visits will maintain root sucker growth, branch off-shoots, and annual flowering branch cutback.
Leaf/Clippings Mulching
Each service visit, clippings from lawns, shrubs, bed areas, and hardscapes are mulched back into turf areas. During fall, each visit also includes blowing out leaves from all surface areas and mulching them into the turf reducing the need to apply additional organic matter for subsequent years' growth.
Blow Down
Each service visit, all surface areas are blown down to clear debris and to evenly spread clippings. Included in this are hardscapes and bed areas to ensure seed heads from weeds cut back are not settling in the same area, as well as turf areas to ensure lawn clippings will not leave clumps.
Debris/Trash Removal
Each service visit, large or unwanted debris such as fallen branches, twigs, pruned cuttings, and heavy leaf piles are removed from the grounds. We often bag debris and leave for trash or county/city collection or, depending upon amount of debris, it will be moved to adjoining wooded areas, or removed entirely. Blown-in trash that may have accumulated since previous visits is picked up and removed from the home.
